Create a context
- In Supernova, open Contexts from the main navigation.
- Click New context.
- Enter a name. The name is used in the MCP URL slug — keep it short and descriptive.
- Configure your context:
- (Optional) Add other contexts as composition sources to inherit their selections automatically.
- Select which design system data to include (dataset, tokens, components, assets, token themes and documentation pages) and attach any workspace files or skills.
- Choose how to distribute the context — via MCP, Portal, or both.
- Click Publish context.
Publishing makes the current configuration live immediately across all connected distribution channels.
A newly created workspace context.
Rename a context
- Open the context.
- Click the context name at the top to edit it inline.
- Press Publish changes to save.
Renaming a context updates the URL slug, but existing connections keep working. The URL is matched by context ID, not by name.
Archive a context
Archiving a context disables it across all distribution channels. The MCP endpoint becomes invalid and the context is no longer visible in Portal.
- Navigate to Contexts.
- Open the ••• menu for the context you want to archive, and select Archive.
If the archived context is used as a composition source in other contexts, it will be automatically removed from those compositions.
