Shortcut / empty block
  1. Select Shortcut links from the block menu to add a new block.
  2. In the block, there will be an empty shortcut you can add content to. Click the item to select it.
  3. In the property panel, click Add link to select where this shortcut will go. It can either be a page in your documentation, or an external URL.
  4. To add a title or description, type in the Title and Description fields.
  5. To add an image, click + Add image in the block or property panel, and choose the type of image you would like to add.
  6. Add additional shortcuts using + Add shortcut.

You can add multiple shortcut links to the same block. To add another link to the same block:

  1. Click the + Add link button in the block.
  2. Add a new link following the same steps as above.
  3. Repeat as many times as you need.

Block variants

You can choose between four different display variants for this block — Image on top or image on the left, and icon on top, or icon on the left.

Edit shortcuts

You can edit shortcut items using the property panel to the right.

  • To change the link, select the shortcut item and click the Edit button beside the Link field.
  • To remove a link, click the remove icon (–).

Edit the image or icon

  • To edit the current image or frame, click Replace, and select the new image.
  • To delete an image, in the property panel under Image, click the Delete icon.
  • To delete a Figma frame, click ••• beside the image or icon preview to open the context menu, and click Remove frame.
  • The following options are available for images:
    • Alignment: Use the icons to select alignment for the image or frame. The options are left, center, or full width.
    • Alt text: This is strongly recommended for improving the accessibility of your documentation site.

Delete shortcut item

  1. To delete a shortcut item, hover over the item in the block, and click ••• to open the item context menu.
  2. Select Delete item.
