Overview
Every meaningful edit to a documentation page is saved automatically as a snapshot. Open a page’s history to see what changed, who changed it, and restore any earlier snapshot back into draft.
With page history, you can:
- See a timeline of every snapshot for a page
- See who made each change
- Review exactly what changed, block by block
- Spot which snapshot is currently published
- Restore an earlier version of a page from a snapshot into draft
When a snapshot is created
You don't need to do anything. A new snapshot is created after about 9 minutes of active editing, and again a few minutes after you stop.
Alternatively, you can create a snapshot manually.
View page history
- Open the documentation page in the editor.
- Click Page history in the toolbar.
- You'll see every snapshot, who made it, and when.
Review what changed
Click any snapshot to see a diff against the previous version in the history. View which parts of the page changed in the highlighted sections. You can see what was added, modified, or removed.
Restore a snapshot
- Open the history panel.
- Find the snapshot you want and select it.
- Click Restore as draft.

Both Editor and Contributor roles can restore a snapshot.
No. Restoring loads the snapshot content into draft. You publish it the same way you’d publish any other change.
