Gather insights on how your documentation is being used

Google Analytics

Please note -> Universal Analytics properties will stop collecting data starting July 1, 2023. It's recommended that you create a Google Analytics 4 property instead.

To integrate with Google Analytics:

  1. Navigate to the Settings -> Documentation -> Analytics
  2. Under Google Analytics, provide your Measurement ID (GA4: G-XXXXXXX) or your Tracking ID (Universal Analytics: UA-1234567)
  3. Publish your documentation to see activity appear in Google Analytics

Enable Intercom communication with consumers of your published documentation.

To integrate with Intercom:

  1. Navigate to the Settings -> Documentation -> Analytics
  2. Under Intercom, provide your Intercom API key
  3. Publish your documentation for the changes to take effect

Hotjar

Add feedback surveys or Hotjar analytics to collect insights on how users use your documentation.

We support all Hotjar widgets and features: Feedback widgetsSurveysHeatmaps, and Recordings.

To integrate with Hotjar:

  1. Navigate to the Settings -> Documentation -> Analytics
  2. Under Hotjar, provide your Hotjar Site ID
  3. Publish your documentation for the changes to take effect
