What is a block variant?

A block variant is a specific mode of display for the content in your token block. For example, if you want to display your tokens in table in a token block, you simply choose the 'Table' block variant when adding the block to your documentation.

Token block supports several block variants for displaying your list of design tokens.

• Table
• Color stack
• Grid (1-4 columns)
• Color contrast grid

Change block variant

There are two ways to change the block's display variant.

1. Hover on the token block
2. Click the Menu icon
3. Click Block variant
4. Select the block variant you want to use to displaying your design tokens

Alternatively:

1. Hover on the token block
2. In the menu on top of the block, click the Block variant dropdown
3. Select the desired block variant from the list shown
