What is Build?
Build is the core experience in Create mode, where you and your team visually bring product ideas to life. It’s not just a wireframing canvas — it’s a fully connected environment where your prototype always reflects your design system, and collaboration is built in.
In the Build section, you can:

How to use it
Build with AI
- Describe what you want to create — a new flow, page, or feature — and AI instantly builds a prototype using your defined context.
- You can start from a blank project, or mention a document.
- AI transforms your description into an interactive prototype you can immediately edit, style, and iterate on.
Chat with your team
- Collaborate directly in the prototype with built-in chat.
- Ask for changes, discuss ideas, and give feedback in real time — all in context, without switching tools.
- Every message is linked to what’s visible on screen, keeping discussions focused and actionable.
Threads
- Explore ideas safely in separate threads
- Each collaborator can work independently, experiment freely, and merge changes later without affecting others’ work.
Attach files
- Attach relevant materials (i.e. screenshots, documents, or research notes) directly to your prototype.
- Everything your team needs for context and decision-making stays in one place.
Mention a document
- Prototype directly from a document reference.
- Mention a PRD, one-pager, or spec, and Portal automatically generates a prototype based on the document’s description and context.
