Create 101

Prototype, validate, and document your product features — all in one place, powered by your design system.

Plan: All

What is Create?

Create is where your entire product team comes together to explore, design, and validate new product ideas.

It’s the home of solution discovery inside Portal — a space where you can build interactive prototypes, write product documentation, and prepare everything for developer handoff.

While Ask helps you explore and understand your design system, Create helps you use it — connecting real components, tokens, and brand styles to the features you’re building. In Create, you’re not just designing screens. You’re shapi g complete, testable product solutions.

Projects

At the heart of Create mode are Projects — dedicated workspaces where your team collaborates on specific initiatives, features, or experiments.

Each project is directly connected to your design system, ensuring every prototype, document, and handoff stays perfectly aligned with your brand and production design.

Create: Projects

With Projects, you can:

  • Prototype features using real components, design tokens, and themes from your design system.
  • Write product documents from PRDs to release notes, alongside your prototypes.
  • Handover to engineers via MCP (Model-Code Pipeline) allowing reuse of both documentation and prototype code for faster delivery.

Each project is structured into the following sections:

Build

Prototype and iterate ideas using live design data.

Documents

Write PRDs, specs, and supporting materials.

Export

Deliver tokens, assets, or generated code to engineering.
