Supernova Portal is where product teams turn ideas into validated solutions. It’s a collaborative space for prototyping, documenting, and delivering product features, powered by your design system.
Whether you’re a Product manager, Designer, or Engineer, Portal provides everything you need to run a complete solution discovery and delivery process — from the first idea to the handoff.
Portal is private-only, built for internal teams. Available as a web and desktop application.
Create mode: where problems find solutions
When you’re in Create mode, Portal becomes your team’s central workspace for building and validating solutions.
You can:
- Create projects for specific features or initiatives.
- Build prototypes with real design tokens and themes to always stay on brand.
- Write PRDs, specs, and release notes directly alongside to your prototypes.
- Collaborate in real time across disciplines — PMs, designers, and engineers working in one environment.
- Export or hand off your work through MCP (Model-Code Pipeline), reusing prototype code and documents to speed up delivery.
In short, Create mode transforms Portal into your solution discovery hub, where you can explore and validate solutions, and prepare everything for implementation.

Portal’s Ask mode connects you with the full depth of your design system, without having to manually read or search through documentation.
You can:
- Ask context-specific questions about your components, tokens, or usage guidelines.
- Search or browse your design system visually.
- Learn instantly how specific design elements should be used, themed, or combined based on your documentation.
Ask mode is ideal for quick answers, onboarding, and everyday discovery of the design system, ensuring everyone uses the exact source of truth.

Setting up Portal
- Connect at least one data source to your design system.
- Make sure AI features are enabled*.
- If any of the items has a Disabled label with the Settings button next to it, you can use this button to navigate to settings and enable the feature you want to use in Portal: Browse, Ask or Create.
All done! You can now access Portal and share it with your team.
