Comments & Notifications

Collaborate with your team using our brand new comments!

This version was released on May 2, 2024.

It’s here! We’re releasing one of our most requested features: in-editor commenting and notifications. Give feedback, leave notes for your teammates, or simply say hi by leaving comments on documentation pages and content blocks. Our new notifications will make sure you don’t miss a thing, too!

That’s not all, either. We’ve improved linking within the editor, and as always you can find smaller improvements in our bug fixes list.

Comments & Notifications

We’ve enabled commenting within the editor so you can leaves notes on specific content blocks. It’s easy to do — either click on the context menu for an individual block and selecting Comment, or click on the comment icon to the right of each block (it’ll appear when you hover on the block).

You can tag your teammates in your comments by writing @ followed by their name. They’ll get notified of your comment if you tag them.

You can also react to comments with an emoji, or easily resolve comments once your work there is done. Don’t worry — you can always view (and reopen) resolved comments, so nothing will get lost!

Of course, you’ll get notified if they tag you in a comment, too, and also for any comments you’ve replied to or reacted to.

We’re super excited about this one, and can’t wait to hear what you think.

Link any header in your documentation

When linking to the page headers, you are no longer limited to just H1, H2 and H3. You can now link to H4 and H5 headers too!

This allows you to be far more specific when linking to content, and lead your readers to exactly the right spot every time.

Documentation page links

We’ve also improved the selection of documentation pages in custom properties. This means you can be more specific when linking documentation pages to your components and tokens.

  • You can now select tabs as well, not just pages.
  • It’s possible to remove the selected page.

We’re super excited about this release and hope you are too. As always, if you have any questions or feedback, you can reach out to the team at any time.
