IP allowlisting

Restrict access to authorized IP addresses and devices.

IP allowlisting is a security measure that ensures only authorized IP addresses and devices can access a network or system. You can set up IP allowlisting in Supernova to add an additional layer of protection for sensitive or confidential information.


Enable IP allowlisting

Enable IP allowlisting for Supernova

  1. Navigate to Settings → Team and access → IP allowlisting.
  2. Beside Enable allowlisting for Supernova, toggle the switch to Yes.
  3. Enter a name, and an IP range in CIDR format.
  4. Click + New IP range at the top of the table to add additional entries.
  5. Click Update settings to save.

IP allowlisting can be enabled and disabled at any time by toggling the switch to Yes (enabled) or No (disabled).

Enable IP allowlisting for documentation

  1. Navigate to Settings → Team and access → IP allowlisting.
  2. Beside Enable allowlisting for documentation, toggle the switch to Yes.
  3. Follow steps 3-5 as above in 'Enable IP allowlisting for Supernova'.

Edit the allowlist

You can also edit, disable, or delete specific IP ranges any time. To do so:

  1. Hover on the relevant IP range row in the table. Click ... to open the context menu.
  2. Click Edit IP range to open the Edit dialog, and make any changes you want to the IP range.
  3. Click Disable IP range to disable the selected IP range. It won't be included in the IP allowlist while disabled.
  4. Click + New IP range at the top of the table to add additional entries any time.
