Multiple themes in token blocks

We have revamped how themes are applied to design token blocks by introducing swatch sections. You can now apply multiple themes to each swatch, allowing for the documentation of complex scenarios, such as multi-brand design systems with various color modes.

If you use a custom documentation exporter, keep in mind that in order for this feature to work properly in your published documentation, you need to merge the upstream changes from our documentation exporter and republish docs.

Multiple themes in exporter pipelines

Pipelines for design tokens exporter (specifically CSS w/ theme support) now support multiple themes selection - simplifying design-to-code workflows with enhanced capabilities.

Selecting multiple themes will apply all of them to a single set of design tokens in a configured order. This is suited for complex setups - such as applying your brand(Acme) and mode(Dark) to generate single set of design tokens for Acme Dark.

To generate themes separately (e.g. Light & Dark) create new pipelines for each theme.

If you use a custom CSS exporter, keep in mind that in order for this feature to work properly, you need to merge the upstream changes from our CSS exporter and make a new build.
